HAMBURGER/HOT DOG FEED FUNDRAISER

I notice that there hasn't been a lot of postings to this blog for some time, so I thought I would get it going again.

The days are flying by as we get closer to the 3day, 60 mile walk for the cure. With that being said, and with the weather being cooperative, we have some great fundraisers planned for the coming weeks.

Our first fundraiser is a hamburger/hotdog feed, which will be held at the Star Lake Community Clubhouse on July 23, 2010 probably around 1:30. (Not sure of the exact time, as it will begin after my homeowner's association annual meeting which begins at 12:00 noon.) Hopefully the meeting won't last more than 1 to 1-1/2 hours. There will be loads of hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, chips and drinks. The cost of admission will be a donation for the Susan G. Komen 3day walk. We will have baked goods, beads, and other items available for sale. I also have several items which I will be auctioning off to the highest bidder, including a night's stay at the Eagle Landing Casino Hotel (which is an awesome hotel!), gift certificates for a pan of lasagne or a new york cheesecake and a couple of other items also.

For those who don't know where Star Lake is located, it is halfway between Shelton and Elma. I am happy to give directions or if you wish to google it, the address for the clubhouse is: 1137 W Star Lake Dr, Elma, WA 98541. I am so excited to be doing this and I hope to see lots of people and raise lots of money for Susan G. Komen!

Please stay tuned for information regarding our other fundraisers, which will include a HUGE yard sale the week-end of August 20-21 and some car washes which will be held in both Puyallup and Port Orchard.

I would like to say "thank you" to all those who have been supportive of all of us who have taken on the challenge of the 3day walk.
