17 Miles in 2 days

Although it's early in the training this weekend I hiked 10 miles on Saturday. We went to Duckabush River near Hood Canal for the day and boy was it challenging. But how beautiful...we stopped at the weeping rock to refresh, a very large rock that cries. If I can figure it out I will post a photo. All in all we made it to the summit and what a beautiful view. For anyone that has not been hiking in the NW I have one word...GO! We are so lucky to have such amazing trails and views. Sunday brought a local walk through the KPN area. Took along Gracie for the long stroll, 7.3 miles in all. Gracie, other than some repeated stops to check out the other animals DNA was great. Today she sleeps..and sleeps...and sleeps. Wiped out much like her Mommy. But again beautiful day, great company and 7.3 more to check off. So, have you thought about how you can help? Perhaps with a small donation..or maybe a box of hidden treasures in need of a garage sale. We have lots of ways to get involved. Just ask. The Susan G. Komen Walk is about protecting our Hooters..and endangered species. We will fight back..so join us today to make a global difference.
