This past weekend was ALL about prep for our fund raising efforts for the Cure. I’m so happy to report that my daughter, Fantasy, has offered to become a support team member! She is one of the most organized, productive and detailed people I know. She spent hours putting together my internet fund raising campaign by setting me up on Facebook, setting up my donation page and creating a beautiful video that showcases one of the reasons we're involved in this great cause, my mom! (Please visit my donation page or Facebook page and view the video!) Fantasy has come up with some great fund raising event ideas and took the bull by the horns and ordered up supplies to get some of them up and running. Mom (depicted in the video) made several more bracelets to add to our treasure chest of "Thank You" gifts for our donors.
As far as prep for the 60-mile walk, Fantasy has allowed me to join her on her regular hiking treks. She does this all of the time and I hope to soon be able to keep up with her! We did a 2.5 hike on a nature trail this Saturday. If time had allowed we would have done it twice. Will keep at it though because I know 2.5 miles does not even come close to the 20 miles per day we'll be mastering in September!
