~Facebook Challenge~

So last night I started my end of the facebook challenge. I got this idea from a fellow blogger and walker in another event. Basically I am sending out a little blurb to friends, family and even stranger's making them aware of our cause and asking them to make a donation to help in finding a cure for breast cancer. My hope is that at least half or more will take part in making a donation to our cause. Below is the blurb that I sent out.

One person is diagnosed with breast cancer every three minutes in the United States. This statistic represents co-worker, our co-worker’s mother, our General Manager’s aunt, friends, and loved ones. For them, and countless others, We will be walking in the Susan G. Komen 3-day for the Cure. We are committed to walking in the Seattle event, walking 60 miles and raising $15,000

In honor of these women, we are asking our facebook friends to donate just $8, representing the 1 in 8 women in the United States that will experience a breast cancer diagnosis. This also represents the $9,200 minimum that I need to raise in order to participate in the Seattle 3-day for the Cure.
